The San Antonio John A. Hartford Center is part of a nationwide network of facilities working to bolster the number of health care professionals qualified to treat the country's growing elderly population. The clinical core curriculum includes participation in both community-based and VA-based continuity clinics, an out-patient evaluation unit, a geriatric consultation service, on-site and community-based nursing home care, home care, and hospice programs.
