Research
The Hussong Lab focuses on the role of neuronal mTORC1 in normal brain aging as well as in Alzheimer’s disease. mTORC1 is a critical cellular signaling hub that controls many vital cellular functions including autophagy and protein synthesis. My lab focuses on the role of neuronal mTORC1 in controlling organismal metabolism, synaptic function, myelination, and cognitive function.
