Congratulations to Shangang Zhao, PhD on his UT STARs Award!
Dr. Shangang Zhao has received a UT STARs award for $100,000. The STARs (Science and Technology Acquisition and Retention) Program provides funding to help purchase state-of-the-art equipment and make necessary laboratory/facility renovations to support faculty members in performing their research. This award will allow Dr. Zhao to further develop his project in metabolism and aging. Dr. Zhao is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and an investigator with the Sam and Ann Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies.
