Congratulations to Yuguang Shi, PhD on his R01 grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases!

Dr. Shi’s project, “Cellular mechanisms of NLRP3 activation by ALCAT1 in diet-induced obesity,” has been awarded an R01 grant by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases of the National Institutes of Health.  Dr. Shi is a Professor with the Sam and Ann Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies and the Department of Pharmacology.  He is also the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long Distinguished Chair in Metabolic Biology.
